How to Take Care of Your Skin in 2023

Our habits shape our lives. From our morning tea to the food we eat and the bed we sleep on define our days and bodies. The word habit has a negative connotation but some habits such as skin care routines are beneficial for our health. People often say that Your skin’s beauty depends upon what you put inside your body. To some extent, this is true, as our inside is important but the outer skin is your first layer of defense mechanism against the outer world.

Your outer skin gives a complete map of how healthy your inside body is. Skin is not only an indicator of your inside physical health but your mental health also depends on your skin. When you have good skin you feel confident. Therefore, make sure you take good care of your skin. Here are a few habits that everyone must incorporate in their lives to achieve healthy and wonderful skin. 

  1. Develop a Proper Skin Care Routine

A basic but complete skincare routine can help you in your journey of achieving glowing skin. Try to incorporate a  complete skincare routine starting with a cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, and ending on sunscreen. Exercise and yoga can also give an instant refreshing look to your skin. 

Smoothies are also the best options that help heal your skin from the inside. The skincare routine helps recover from different skin issues including acne, melasma, dark circles, tan, aging and more. 

  1. Remove Makeup Before going to Bed

It is a common saying that going to bed with makeup on is a poison for your skin health. The negligence can result in different skin issues such as acne. After a tiring day, it is a must to remove makeup before hitting the bed. 

Sleep is a time when your body including your skin recover, repair and renew. So, just imagine not giving your skin the time to repair and heal. Make sure you remove your makeup with a good cleanser and a toner, then you should put night cream on your face followed by anti-aging eye care  to give your skin the extra dose it needs to repair and heal fast. 

  1. Cleanse Gently,  Moisturize and Use Sunscreen 

If your skin feels too dry or too oily, make sure you use a cleanser with the right PH level as per your skin type. Try washing your face twice a day with a mild and gentle cleanser as it removes all the impurities and dirt from your skin. 

Moisturizer is a skin barrier that protects your skin to maintain its natural balance. Therefore, after washing your face with the cleanser, always apply a moisturizer as it will restore the barrier of your skin making it strong, soft and supple. To save your skin from harmful radiations of the skin, sunscreen must be a must in your skincare routine and it should be applied 20 minutes before going out in the sun.   

  1. Exercise Regularly and Eat Healthy

Fruits and vegetables give your skin the right nutrients your skin needs. Try incorporating fruits and vegetable smoothies into your diet. Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydrated skin.

Stress can be the main cause of all your skin problems. Exercise helps reduce stress and ultimately gives your skin the boost it needs.
